History

Founded in 1974 b/c of lack of coverage in the area First truck was a military surplus and a 64 ward lafrance Chartered with about 80 members Fire services only - station was in the basement of a shop ran about 30 calls the first year station was built in 1976 2007 Purchased land for a new station 6 trucks (3 pierce pumpers, 1 hackney squad truck, 1 dodge brush truck and a cheverlote tanker) provide fire, ems, hazmat operations, rescue started swiftwater and sar teams will run appx 340 calls (50% fire/50%ems) have appx 28 members iso rated at 7 avg training hours will prob be 100+ per member
